Spiritual prayers that empower you to overcome the Jezebel spirit. The spirit of Jezebel releases fear, confusion, and control. To overcome Jezebel you must learn how to fight back.

Here is a readers' question. “I have a situation I need understanding about the Jezebel Spirit! I come under great distress, anxiety, fear and intimidation when the spirit of Jezebel is manifesting through someone. Even via text or PM. I have done everything I can think of to overcome this hiding and being afraid, cave experience.

I do not want to be afraid. I don't want to run away. What is in my character that makes me afraid? I've prayed now for over 7 years to be set free from this. The ONLY good thing I can say about it, I can recognize it’s a Jezebel spirit because of my reaction to it. Thank you!”

Hello, It is great that you can identify the Jezebel spirit as the source of the warfare. The spirit of Jezebel releases confusion, threats, witchcraft, and fear. Fear is an expectation of pain, danger, or loss. Fear affords you the opportunity to run or fight. This has nothing to do with your character. It is a normal reaction called fight or flight. Experienced prayer warriors know they can fight back. Also, keep themselves covered with protective prayers against the whiles of the enemy.

You fight back by binding every word and every curse spoken against you. So after getting a text from Jezebel bind those words up and cast them down. You have delegated spiritual authority. Use it. Jesus said, “Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you” (Luke 10:19).

We can learn a lot from Elijah’s experience with Jezebel. She did not confront Elijah directly but sent him a messenger. Jezebel can send many messengers with her threats. What’s interesting is Elijah had just had a powerful victory against the prophets of Baal. Afterward, he received a message from Jezebel that caused him to run. If it can happen to the mighty man of God, it can happen to us. Nevertheless, let’s learn from his experience.

“And Ahab told Jezebel all that Elijah had done, and withal how he had slain all the prophets with the sword. Then Jezebel sent a messenger unto Elijah, saying, So let the gods do to me, and more also, if I make not thy life as the life of one of them by tomorrow about this time. And when he saw that, he arose, and went for his life, and came to Beersheba, which belongeth to Judah, and left his servant there. (1 Kings 19:1-3)

Jezebel threatened the life of Elijah. This was no idle threat because she had already killed many of God’s prophets. Instead of Elijah responding to Jezebel’s message in faith he considered her threat. This is the answer. When Jezebel attacks you, respond in faith. Moreover, most importantly, don’t consider her threats.

Scripture says, “Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ” (2 Corinthians 10:5). Casting down imaginations is one of your weapons used during the spiritual warfare against Jezebel.

Fear is a natural response to a threat. This is not a character issue. This is a spiritual attack. When Jezebel’s fear attacks you, fight back with the word of God.
