The biggest part of you is not that part you see in the mirror. The biggest part of you is unseen. To help you understand this, the Bible says you are a three-part being: spirit, soul, and body.
We discover this truth in Apostle John's prayers when he said, “And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly, and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ” (1 Thessalonians 5:23). From this verse, you learn that you are a spirit, have a soul, and live in a body. Let's explain it this way. You have a hand that can grasp things, but you are not a hand. You have a nose to smell, but you are not a nose. Likewise, you have a soul, mind, will, intellect, imaginations, and emotions but you are not a soul. You are a spirit.
Before you confessed your sins, your spirit was dead and separated from God. You were a flesh creature led by the lusts of your flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and the mind and were by nature the children of wrath. You were lost in trespasses and sins (Ephesians 2:1). In other words, your spirit was dead. But, the day you were born again you became a new creature in Christ Jesus, old things passed away and all things became new. At that point, your spirit man came alive.
That born again experience was the big game-changer in your life. Think of it, your spirit, once dead, now made alive in Christ and ready to learn, grow and become all that God has predestined for you. That's what God calls an “expected end” (Jeremiah 29:11).
Now that your spirit is alive unto Christ, it is also alive unto the Holy Spirit. It's the Holy Spirit's ministry to lead you and guide you in truth. To accomplish that, Christ will baptize you in the Holy Spirit. This is that experience called the baptism of the Holy Ghost. Christ declared, “But you shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and you shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth” (Acts 1:8).
The biggest part of you is your spirit. It's that unseen part that is alive unto Christ. It's that part of you that is filled with Holy Ghost power. It's that part of you that leaps with joy. It's that part of you we call the real you, the eternal you, and the biggest part that is unseen.
