There is an interesting principle in the Word of God. I call it the law of prophetic announcements and new beginnings. The law of beginnings states that everything new in your life starts with a word from God.
Have you come to that place in your life where you just feel like nothing is happening and there ought to be more? This is the place of boredom, frustration, and danger. If you stay in this place for too long, you can become apathetic, lukewarm, religious, and no fun to be around. When you get to that place, it’s important to listen for a prophetic announcement from the Holy Spirit. New seasons open up for you as a result of the prophetic announcement.
Within prophetic announcements operates the law of beginnings, or, said another way, the unlocking of new things. This is how a door opens in your life to a new season. A prophetic announcement can come to you from the Holy Spirit through direct prophecy, a person flowing in the spirit of prophecy, an elder or church leader, or a revelation of a Bible scripture. There are other ways, but this covers enough to make the point.
The law of beginnings is found throughout the Word of God. That’s because the law of beginnings is a Kingdom of God principle. When you understand the laws of the Kingdom of God, you can identify their operations and benefit from them.
Our God is the God of first and last things. He is the alpha and omega, the beginning and the end. Scripture confirms the law of beginnings, declaring, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God" (John 1:1). Notice the close connection between beginnings and the Word.
The law of beginnings is also found here: "Remember ye, not the former things, nor consider the things of old." I will do a new thing, and it will spring forth now; shall you not know it? "I will even make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert" (Isaiah 43:18–19). I like this promise because you can plainly see God making a prophetic announcement of a new season. New beginnings are waiting for you. Pay attention and listen for the announcement.
