Traveling along this journey we call life is filled with many precious moments. Solomon described dozens of them. He said, “To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance” (Ecclesiastes 3:1-4).
These are all moments in time, moments in your yesterday, moments in your today, and moments in your future. These moments are uniquely yours and they are uniquely important.
I try to surround myself with inspiration. Inspiration is like a breath of fresh air. It’s like opening the windows of your home after a long winter to that wonderful brisk breeze of springtime. It’s like the warm sun on your cheek or the sound of birds singing in the trees.
Inspiration unlocks creativity. It breaks the ho-hum that offers nothing but a boring routine. Inspiration touches the heart. Helen Keller said, “The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched - they must be felt with the heart.” This is revealing because the heart records every moment in time. Remember, these are your moments. Scripture declares, “Keep thy heart with all diligence; For out of it are the issues of life” (Proverbs 4:23).
Today, let the Holy Spirit lead you toward inspiration. It’s inspiration that unlocks creativity and records in your heart as a wonderful moment in time.
