Gaining Education from the School of the Holy Spirit: Becoming a Disciple of Christ for Fulfillment and Accomplishment

Education comes from several different sources: parents, school, job, life, and the Holy Spirit. After you graduate, you enter the school of  "life learning". Learning from life can't be found in your old college textbooks. Now it's time to learn what it's like to live in the real world.

The real world is the realm of responsibility. This is the world where you grow up, mature, take hold and become that responsible, trustworthy adult. For some this is drastic. It's drastic because they were traveling through life without a care in the world. After school, however, real-life hit them in the face like a cold blast of air. The wake-up call had come.

Let's face it, all of us have experienced various degrees of education in life. We call these life lessons. The good news is this. God has provided a path of truth that will give you the best education you could ever have. That path takes you to a school. Not just any old school. But the school of the Holy Spirit. This school starts with putting Christ first in your life, studying the word of God, and renewing your mind. This is called the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry.

The work of ministry is that which God has planned for your life. All ministry classes are tailor-made just for you. To reach that goal, Christ has provided for you a book, the Bible, and five different teachers with five different graces, some apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, some pastors and teachers (Ephesians 4:11). All of these are called to train you for a joyous life of victory.

The Holy Spirit is part of the Trinity. Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit was sent to lead and guide you into truth. He is the one that gives you the revelation of the word of God and helps you apply Christ's teachings in your life. Within His school, you will grow and mature. In His school, you will learn how to avoid the many vain distractions and the enemy's scheme to steal, kill, and destroy.

The goal of the Holy Spirit is to help you become. To become that disciple of Christ, empowered to advance the Kingdom of God, and to walk out the plan of God for your life. A life of righteousness, peace, and joy. It's a life of fulfillment, satisfaction, and accomplishment. No matter where you are right now in your walk with God, embrace the school of the Spirit.
