What are you full of? Are you full of faith, vigor, and optimism or fear, uncertainty, and doubt? What's in you is like a rudder that steers a ship. If it's faith in you, faith steers you. If it's fear in you, fear steers you.
All of us have an inner world filled with thoughts and desires. Some of these thoughts take us captive and away from God's blessings and other thoughts take us to the place of peace and freedom.
For the disciple of Christ, you will find within your spirit the path toward life, liberty, freedom, and peace. That's because you have taken the time to deposit God's truth inside. Christ revealed that inside every man is a treasure chest. A treasure chest filled with good or filled with evil. He said, “A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good, and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh” (Luke 6:45). This is a revelation of two types of men. One full of light and the other full of darkness. The good man brings forth power, love, and a sound mind. The evil man brings forth failure, hatred, and bitterness.
The revelation is this. What's in you can be drawn out of you. In other words, what's in the good man, his good treasure, can be drawn out and what's in the evil man, his evil treasure, can be drawn out. It's the drawing out that should not be overlooked. That's what Christ was getting across to his disciples when he said, “Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.” For the good man, his good fruit will manifest all around. That's because he has spent time renewing his mind with the life-giving word of God. Scripture declares, “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success” (Joshua 1:8).
It's the treasure within the inner man that opens the way for blessings or curses. It is written, “A man's belly shall be satisfied with the fruit of his mouth; and with the increase of his lips shall he be filled. Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof” (Proverbs 18:20-21). What's in you is a product of that which was put in you. And that which was put in you, good or bad, will be heard from you. For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.
What are you looking at? What are you thinking about? What are you speaking? What are you depositing? Again, it's important to guard your heart. Whatever you put inside will multiply because your spirit was designed by God to multiply and produce.
Production is in your spiritual DNA. Your heart is going to produce what's sown there. This is why you must guard your heart with all diligence. What goes inside will grow inside, good treasure or bad treasure. What's inside will grow. The choice is yours. Plant the good seed of God's word and watch it grow into a great treasure. As asked in the beginning, “What are you full of?”
