Believe and Receive: Activate Expectation for Miracles

Do you long for a miracle in your life? If so, then it’s time to step out in faith and unlock the supernatural power of expectation. By doing so, you’ll discover that God can and will do the impossible in your life. Expectation is one of the most powerful words in the Bible. It's the word that unlocks every sign, wonder, and miracle you will ever receive. 

Peter and John were on their way to the temple for prayer. At the entrance, they saw a lame beggar that was asking for alms. Peter spoke to the man saying, “Look at us. And the man gave heed unto them expecting to receive something from them” (Acts 3:4-5). Notice that Peter got the man's attention but the thing you need to grasp is the man's response, he stretched forth his hand expecting to get something. There it is. The word expectation was about to change this man's life forever.

Expectation is the key to every breakthrough you will receive. It's the trigger for every outpouring of the Holy Spirit and encounter with God.“Then Peter said, silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk. And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God” (Acts 3:6-8).

The beggar thought he was going to receive an offering. It wasn't money this man was about to receive, however, it was the power of God, the anointing of the Holy Spirit. Think of it. The man thought he needed financial blessings but God saw what the man really needed, a healing miracle. That healing miracle was something that money could not buy. The power of expectation unlocked a supernatural blessing in his life.

Expectation is about believing. It's about anticipating with confidence of fulfillment. Expectation and faith in God will change your life. God loves to watch you act in faith. He loves to see you in expectation. So, what's your expectation level? What are you believing God for? What are you expecting today? Scripture declares, “It's impossible to please God without faith” (Hebrews 11:6), Examine yourself right now. Are you pleasing God? Get your faith level up there. A miracle is waiting for you.
