You can have an expected end, a good future. God has given you the keys to the kingdom. Use them, and your life can be full of satisfaction. Spiritual words, God's words, are keys to the kingdom. God has given you the keys to the kingdom, Biblical principles that unlock the benefits of your salvation.
Scripture says, “Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's” (Psalms 103:2-5).
Everything you need is unlocked by a kingdom principle. Whatever it is you desire, you can find a Scripture that pertains to it. Here are some examples.
FINANCES
“But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:19)
HEALING
“Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.” (1 Peter 2:24)
FEAR
“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” (2 Timothy 1:7)
SALVATION OF FAMILY
“Sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.” (Acts 16:30-31)
TROUBLE
“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” (Psalms 46:1)
DETERMINED PERSISTENCE
Some doors in your life are shut and locked. The lock itself is proof a key exist. Jesus taught his Disciples a spiritual principle called determined persistence. Determined persistence is a spiritual principal of the kingdom of God. Scripture says, “For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened” (Luke 11:10).
Notice the principle. Ask and receive, seek and find, knock and open. Kingdom principles are connected to kingdom words. In this spiritual law, determined persistence produces a result. Read how Jesus taught this principle.
“And he said unto them, Which of you shall have a friend, and shall go unto him at midnight, and say unto him, Friend, lend me three loaves; For a friend of mine in his journey is come to me, and I have nothing to set before him? And he from within shall answer and say, Trouble me not: the door is now shut, and my children are with me in bed; I cannot rise and give thee. I say unto you, Though he will not rise and give him, because he is his friend, yet because of his importunity he will rise and give him as many as he needeth. And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth, and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. (Luke 11:5-10)
A man had an unexpected visitor and nothing to feed him. He hurries to his friend’s house asking to borrow some bread. It’s late, everyone is in bed, and his friend tells him to go away.
This is a testimony of a man with a need, but the satisfaction of that need was locked behind a closed door. Have you ever been in this condition; you needed something, but couldn’t get it? Determined persistence is the answer. The man didn’t give up. He continued to ask, continued to seek, and continued to knock. Friendship with his neighbor was not going to get this man out of bed. Only importunity would open the door and meet the need.
Jesus likens this man’s persistence as a key that unlocks closed doors. Determined persistence says him that ask receives, him that seeks finds, and him that knocks and the door opens. Some give up to soon. Just because the door didn’t open the first time you knocked doesn’t mean you should stop knocking.
One of our pastors was excited about attending our annual Remnant Conference in Hallandale Beach, Florida. He felt the Holy Spirit would open a new season to his life, marriage, family, and ministry. To enter the United States, he needed a visa.
A visa is a permission to enter the country. He called the embassy and scheduled an interview. He was so excited. After the interview was over the immigration official declined entry. You can imagine his disappointment. The door didn’t open. This really troubled him. He felt assured the Holy Spirit wanted him to attend the meetings in Florida. He went home with the bad news, but his wife encouraged him to try again. The pastor had to wait for six months for another interview.
Finally, the day came. He paid the fee, about two weeks income, and was denied again. Discouragement attacked his soul. While retaking the bus to his village, the Holy Spirit told him to try again. What? Try again? All the way home he argued with the Holy Spirit. The time had passed, the conference was over. He felt the door of opportunity still closed.
I remember calling him and listening to the letdown in his voice. During the call, I asked him if he thought the Holy Spirit changed his mind about coming to the United States. He went quiet for a minute and said, “No, I don’t believe so.” Well, then you must try again. He had to wait another six months and pay a third time. This was a big financial sacrifice yet he was determined.
When his interview date arrived, he was third in line at the embassy and fighting the fight of faith. The devil was tormenting his mind, but he remembered the promise of God, him that asks receives, him that seeks finds, and to him that knocks, doors open. He received a ten-year visa, and no more interviews or fees would be necessary. The door opened.
This pastor proved “what is that good, acceptable, and perfect will of God” (Romans 12:2). His determined persistence opened the door to the USA. People all over the world know what opportunity this presents. He attended the conference, and the Holy Spirit ministered to him in a mighty way, including divine appointments with other leaders from around the world. “For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth, and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.”
Never give up. Faith keeps on asking, keeps on seeking, and keeps on knocking. That’s the law of determined persistence in action.
FINDING SATISFACTION
Satisfaction is within your reach and closer than you might think. Some are not satisfied with their lives. If that’s you, you can start changing your life today. The first step is renewing your mind with the word of God. That means changing the way you think. That’s going to take some time, but when you do, you will begin to experience instant results. Remember, your tongue is like the rudder of a ship. With words, you can change course.
SATISFACTION
A familiar verse in the Word is, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof” (Proverbs 18:21). It’s easy to focus on the negative side of this Scripture, but the positive part is, “they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.” This means you should get to the place of loving the words you speak because you know they are producing something awesome in your life. You have probably heard that verse quoted before, but read the verse before it. “A man's belly shall be satisfied with the fruit of his mouth and with the increase of his lips shall he be filled” (Proverbs 18:20). Notice how words are connected to satisfaction.
Satisfaction is the strong sense of contentment you feel after receiving a desire, need, goal, or expectation. I love that feeling of achievement. Don’t you? If you are not satisfied with your life, you can change it. All change starts with a decision. Find the words you need to say and repeat them.
Life, the God kind of life, is connected to your tongue. Start decreeing a new future for yourself. Let your words be the pen of a ready writer. God says, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end” (Jeremiah 29:11).
