People want to know why they were born and what their purpose in life is. To understand the answers to these questions is to understand God’s creation. Let’s look at the four laws of creation: design, meaning, purpose, and assignment.
Design is a plan (meaning an intent), purpose is a use, and assignment is a task. Once you understand these four principles, you will enter a phase transition. All these principles move you forward, one principle at a time. This is like moving from logos to rhema, from knowledge to revelation, one phase at a time. This process in engineering is called a phase transition.
Phase transitions are not specifically mentioned in the Bible, but they are a spiritual principle because they represent a change from one state of being to another.
In the spiritual realm, this could represent a transition from a state of sin and separation from God to a state of righteousness and closeness with God. It could also represent the transition from a life of fear and confusion to one of peace, joy, and understanding.
The idea of a phase transition is that something is changing from one state to another, and this can be seen as a metaphor for spiritual growth and transformation.
Water, for example, is a good example of a phase transition because it can exist in three distinct phases: solid (ice), liquid (water), and gas (vapor). These phases can be readily observed in nature through the processes of melting ice, boiling water, and condensing vapor. They can also be observed in your life as you continue renewing your mind with the word of God and as the Holy Spirit reveals more and more of Christ to you. Scripture calls it exercising your senses by "reason of use" (Hebrews 5:14). This points toward being a doer of the word and not just someone who hears and doesn’t act (James 1:23).
As already said, when you understand design, you will understand meaning. When you understand meaning, you will understand purpose. When you understand purpose, you will understand assignment.
To grasp your assignment in life will take time because there are many life lessons and biblical truths that the Holy Spirit needs to impart. There are other things that need to be torn down and destroyed (“See, I have this day set thee over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out, and to pull down, and to destroy, and to throw down, to build, and to plant” (Jeremiah 1:10).)

DESIGN: The creation of a specific plan, pattern, or function, God's design for mankind as revealed in the Book of Genesis.
Scripture declares, "In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. And the earth was without form and void, and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters" (Genesis 1:1–2). "So, God created mankind in his own image; in the image of God, he created them; male and female he created them" (Genesis 1:27).
These two verses of the Bible introduce the creation story as told in the book of Beginnings. This account is God's revelation of how He created the world in six days.
In these verses, God is described as creating the universe, the earth, which was then in a formless state, and mankind. Additionally, the presence of the Spirit of God is mentioned, emphasizing His role in the creation process. This should not be understated. Notice that the creation story is the story of design, meaning, purpose, and assignment.
You, too, were created by God. The creation of man was God’s idea. Just like an architect, he fashioned you in his image and by his design. So, God created man in his own image; in the image of God, he created him; male and female, he created them (Genesis 1:27).
God has a purpose for each and every one of us. We may not understand what it is now, but as we continue to seek Him and His Word, we will come to know our purpose and assignment.
In summary, the four principles of creation are design, meaning, purpose, and assignment. Design is a plan, meaning is an intent, purpose is a use, and assignment is a task. These principles will move you forward, just like water, one phase at a time, to a greater understanding of God and His will for your life. He created you in His image and by His design so that you can fulfill the role of ministry you are called. As you make yourself available to Him, He will guide you and give you the strength to carry out His plans.
