Change Your Life With Difference

Change Your Life With DifferenceUnlock a better life with faith-filled words and reactions. Develop a better life through difference and reactions by learning from the example of David and the Philistine giant Goliath. Words can have spiritual power and can influence atmospheres, so equip yourself with the whole armour of God and the word of God in order to stand against the taunts of the enemy. Through perseverance, spiritual maturity can be achieved, and this is a path that can lead you before kings and giants.

Change your life with difference. Here are some interesting things about difference, reactions, and words. Your difference opens doors that others can’t enter. Difference is visible.

Your faithful reaction to trouble is what makes you different than everybody else. Your difference is what people remember about you. Your difference is what your boss pays you for. Your difference is noticed by the Holy Spirit. Your difference will bring you before kings and giants.

One day Jessie asked his son David to visit his brothers who were battling with the Philistines. When David arrived, he could hear the taunting words of a giant warrior named Goliath. These words filled the camp with fear and terror.

Words have spiritual power. Words affect atmospheres. Words can discourage even the most well-trained soldiers. Demons understand how to use words against you. This is why you need to put on the whole armor of God and gird your loins with truth.

“Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.” (Ephesians 6:13-17)

When David heard the words of Goliath, his reaction was entirely different than his fearful brothers. He said, “Who is this uncircumcised Philistine that he should defy the armies of the living God?” These words were repeated to King Saul who asked for David to be brought to him. Read what happened.

“David said to Saul, Let no man's heart fail because of this Philistine; your servant will go out and fight with him. And Saul said to David, You are not able to go to fight against this Philistine. You are only an adolescent, and he has been a warrior from his youth. And David said to Saul, Your servant kept his father's sheep. And when there came a lion or again a bear and took a lamb out of the flock, I went out after it and smote it and delivered the lamb out of its mouth; and when it arose against me, I caught it by its beard and smote it and killed it. Your servant killed both the lion and the bear; and this uncircumcised Philistine shall be like one of them, for he has defied the armies of the living God! David said, The Lord Who delivered me out of the paw of the lion and out of the paw of the bear, He will deliver me out of the hand of this Philistine. And Saul said to David, Go, and the Lord be with you! (1 Samuel 17:32-37)

David’s words were very different than those around him. His words were so different King Saul wanted to see him. This is a powerful lesson. It is amazing how faith-filled words will change spiritual climates. David’s different words made a path straight to King Saul. Words are destinations. Words make a difference. Words will take you before kings. Like David, the words you speak will make way for you. King Saul heard something different in the camp. He heard different words, he heard faith-filled words. King Saul said, “Bring me that difference.”

One of your most difficult challenges is learning to respond to the trials of life. All of us face this situation. If you are like me, you have not always responded with the right words. Don’t let that stop you. You’re not perfect, but you are a limited edition. Recognize when you respond wrong, repent, and go at it again. David had faced the lion and the bear before he faced Goliath. Spiritual maturity doesn’t happen over the weekend, it takes time. Your Father is a loving, merciful, and forgiving God. The mature Christian places high value on learning. Keep growing, keep learning, and keep at it.
