Life Lessons: Some Good, Some Not So Good

Lessons Some Good Some Not So Good 1Some lessons are good, some are not. It’s what you do with them that counts. This Scripture comes up many times when bad things happen, unexplainable things, and things that come at the most inopportune time. Scripture says, “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose” (Romans 8:28).

Life is full of lessons. Some are good and others are difficult. Some painful and others joyful. The point is every lesson along life’s journey imparts, even imprints, something important.

Lessons are a part of life.

Lessons teach.

Lessons guide.

Lessons build.

Lessons direct.

Lessons root out, throw down, destroy, build and plant. Lessons should never be ignored. Lessons are opportunities. They are like keys that open a treasure chest of wealth and riches. That’s because lessons always point toward something important. Something tailored just for you.

Lessons teach of things yesterday, today and forever. Every time you learn something new you have something learned for life. These are life’s lessons that no one can take away from you. Since you are one of a kind, these lessons are uniquely yours.

The beautiful thing imparted in our opening Scripture is this, “God makes all things work together for good to them that love him.” Loving him is key. Looking for the lesson is important. Isn’t it wonderful to know that God will cause all things to bless your life? God is a marvelous instructor. He gives you two interesting things. He gives you a book (Bible) and a teacher (The Holy Spirit). You can’t fail.

When you come upon difficult lessons ask the Holy Spirit, your teacher, to help you see what you need to see, hear what you need to hear, and understand what you need to understand. With these, you can find assurance. The Bible instructions are this: “In all your ways acknowledge him and he will direct your path.”
