Some say that manhood is toxic and traditional masculinity harmful to society. Their approach is to delete offensive words that describe the male species such as him, he, male, and men. One writer says that hatred of women is innate and inescapable within men.

There was a time when the man went off to work, he was the breadwinner, and the woman stayed home nurturing the children. Not so much anymore. It was easier then to define the man and women’s role. It’s not as easy today because the roles are not as clear-cut.

Let's review how God designed the man, his assignment, and some of the things the man needs. A man’s life is filled with many needs. As we review these needs, let us take time to evaluate our lives and see if we are fulfilling our divine purpose. God created the man after his likeness and gave him the assignment to take dominion. As men, let us be mindful of the needs given to us by our creator and strive to use these needs to bring him glory.
