Christian Values Stop Demonic Wiles
Christian values and demonic values are different. You are in a spiritual war for dominion. Apostle Paul said we are not wrestling against flesh and blood. That doesn’t mean we are not wrestling. It just means we know where the battle really originates. Spiritual warfare is something we cannot escape as Christians. Christ said he would build His church, and the gates of hell would not prevail. They are still trying.
One thing important to me is watching the wiles of the devil in action. He has had thousands of years of practice. It’s interesting to see that demonic wiles manifest themselves through various world leaders and those in positions of leadership and influence. So even though we are not in a fight with people, we are in a fight against strongholds. A stronghold is a fortified value system. Scripture declares, “The weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds.” One way to better understand strongholds is by looking at values.
Understanding the conflict between Christian values and demonic values is important. As an apostolic sent one, you carry and advance the values of your king. These values produce conflict. As a sent one, you understand the nature of Christ’s Church is apostolic. Jesus was sent, the Holy Ghost was sent, and you are sent.
“Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you. And when he had said this he breathed on them and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost.” (John 20:21-22)
If you are born again, then you are a citizen of the Kingdom of God. There is a kingdom within you. That kingdom has a king. The king is Christ, and he has certain expectations of his followers. Not only is Christ, your savior but he is also the one that sets standards for citizenship in His kingdom. You already know you must repent of sin and turn from your wicked ways, but you must also uphold the standards of your king. Standards are values. Said another way kingdom standards are Kingdom values.
Values are beliefs of a person or social group in which they have an emotional investment either for or against.
- Values reflect a person’s sense of right and wrong.
- Values influence behavior.
- Values can been seen by what people and societies honor, award, celebrate and fund.
IMPRINT PERIOD: Birth to 7 years.
During this period, children are like a sponge receiving values directly from mom and dad. This is the stage when children get their sense of right and wrong, good and bad. Now you understand why the devil wants your children. Allowing your television to babysit is dangerous because cartoons are loaded with values and some with environmental and political propaganda. Vladimir Lenin said, “Give me a child for the first 5 years of his life and he will be mine forever.”
MODELING PERIOD: 8 – 13 years.
In this period, young people are watching and modeling what you do. They try to match up what you say with what you do. If these conflict they will do what you do, not what you say. Do you take them to church or drop them off? Do they see you pray and read the bible? Do you drink, smoke, curse, complain, blame, or gossip? What are you doing that they will copy? In this period children become aware and copy what you value and how you respond to life. Remember values influence behavior. If you fail at home during the modeling period to impart Christian values into your children, real competition begins when they enter the public school system.
SOCIALIZATION PERIOD: 14 – 21 years.
In this stage, youth are influenced by their peers and the media. Are they being influenced? What do they wear? What is their language? What music do they listen to? What posters are hanging on their bedroom walls? What do their friends look like? What kingdom culture are they advancing?
As citizens of the Kingdom of God, we have a great responsibility to transmit Christian values to our children. For a society to stop cultural debasement, it must impart Christian values. There is no doubt that secular humanism creates societies that self-destruct sooner or later. Every person you see on television, in media or politics transmit and promote values. Let’s look at some faces that transmit values that our youth might imitate.
In Costa Rica police officer Murdock Ronald Herrera Borges (left) post a photo on Facebook in a salute with Nazi flag and other symbols of the defunct German fascist party. Borges said that “a few of his fellow police officers share his neo-Nazi ideologies.” As shocking as this photo is it proves that some people, even police officers, can carry a very different world view that you. A neo-Nazi evil ideology did not originate in Costa Rica.
Comedian Sarah Silverman used the Internet to Tweet before and after photos of her abortion. Her Tweet read, “Got a quickie aborsh in case R v W gets overturned.” Abortion is a serious matter. Silverman thinks it’s funny. Her murderous values conflict with scripture and model the way to a generation of youth that abortion is a humorous solution for failed birth control and promiscuous sex.
The “Rock and Roll All-Stars” concert was scheduled at the Ricardo Saprissa Stadium in Costa Rica with various bands including Kiss, Def Leppard, Metallica, Skid Row, Guns N’ Roses and The Cult. Here is a photo of former Kiss musician Gene Simmons as a main attraction. When you look at this photo, you don’t have to guess what values these bands transmit to our young people.
The UK’s Daily Mail reported, “Paganism has been included in an official school religious education syllabus for the first time. Cornwall Council has told its schools that pagan beliefs, which include witchcraft, druidism and the worship of ancient gods such as Thor, should be taught alongside Christianity, Islam and Judaism.”
All of this confirms the spiritual warfare for dominion. As you can see values are being transmitted to the youth of our nations from demonic kingdom teaching spirits. If this continues to escalate, what will the world look like fifty years from now?
To turn this moral slide around is going to require all of us to be the Church and not play church. We can do it. We can turn it around. As Christians we are called to be salt and light, a city set on a hill. Man cannot save himself, he needs a savior. It’s time for Christians to fight the good fight of faith and battle against these wicked anti-Christ values. Our children are worth the fight. Personally I am excited about the future. We have the answer, “Christ in you the hope of glory.”
