Seeing the Unseen

Seeing The UnseenTrust in God and His word and the unseen will become visible! Scripture says that through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear (Hebrews 11:3).

This verse is saying that through our faith in God, we understand that He created the world and all that is in it. We can see the physical world around us, but it is not made of anything that we can see.

THE WORD WILL NOT RETURN VOID

God created the world and everything in it with His word, which is unseen and powerful. This reminds us that no matter what we can see with our eyes, God is the one who created and sustains the universe. God also speaks of sending his word into the unseen spirit world to accomplish a task. Scripture declares, "For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and makes it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater; so shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return to me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it" (Isaiah 55:10–11).

The passage from Isaiah is reminding us that God's word is powerful and reaches beyond what we can see in the physical world. God's word goes out into the unseen realm and can accomplish whatever task He has set it out to do. Just as the rain and snow come down from the heavens and water the earth and cause it to produce fruit, so too does God's word have the power to do good and accomplish anything He pleases. This passage highlights the importance of faith—trusting in God and His word even when we cannot always see the results.

SPIRIT AND LIFE

t also confirms that man shall not live by bread alone but by every word of God. Jesus speaks of the power of the word of God, calling it spirit and life. He said, "It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing; and the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life" (John 6:63). This passage from John speaks to the power of God’s word. Jesus is reminding us that the words He speaks are spirit and life. His words have the power to quicken, or give life, to those who hear them. His words have the power to transform and bring life to those who receive them.

SPEAKING TO MOUNTAINS

This is an important reminder of the power of God’s word and the importance of being intentional with what we say and listen to. When we allow God’s word to fill our hearts and minds, we can expect to experience the life-giving power of His words in our lives. All this demonstrates that the word of God can be spoken into the unseen spirit world with creative power for those who believe. One day Jesus taught about seeing the yet unseen when he taught his disciples to move a mountain. He taught, "Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place, and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible for you" (Matthew 17:20).

This passage from Matthew is teaching us that when we have faith in God, even the seemingly impossible can be accomplished. This principle isn’t just limited to physical objects but also applies to the unseen realm as well. When we have faith in God and His word, we can expect to see the unseen become visible. Jesus is teaching us to have faith in the unseen and to trust God even when we can’t see the end result. We can rest in the assurance that God is faithful and will bring to pass what He has promised. It's awesome to know that the power of faith-filled words has the ability to move mountains and bring the unseen into the realm of the seen.

In conclusion, the Bible teaches us that through faith and trust in God, we can expect to see the unseen become visible. We can have faith that God's word will go out into the unseen realm and accomplish whatever task He has set out for it. Jesus teaches us that with faith as small as a mustard seed, we can expect to move mountains and see the unseen become visible.

As we trust in God and His word, we can be confident that the unseen will become visible and that what He has promised will come to pass. Just as we learned in the beginning, "through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear" (Hebrews 11:3).
