The apostolic reformation is advancing throughout Central America. We just returned from the nation of Nicaragua with one of the best teams ever. I love the passion and the spiritual hunger of every Champion partner. This trip was action-packed and filled with excitements. We feed and ministered to over 1300 children, held medical and dental examinations, ministered to orphans in Managua, sent out evangelistic Invasion Teams, conducted our annual Global Cause Network GCN Apostolic and Prophetic National meeting, and had nightly “open air” crusades with streets closed and hearts open. Because of your prayers and support of this ministry we are able to carry on these Gospel meetings in nations where the income level of most people is under $3.00 a day.
MINISTERING TO CHILDREN AND ORPHANS
In the orphanage was an 11 year old boy named Eduardo who had just come off the dangerous streets of Managua. He was badly beaten and in need of care. When we arrived there he was wincing in pain with a swollen, deformed wrist and unseen emotional scars. Partners on our medical team, which included a paramedic and a nurse practitioner from Georgia, treated his wounds. I thank God for the dedication of these fine people who are willing to leave their families to minister to the needs of others. As the examinations continued we met others who suffered stomach maladies and ear infections. Still others were taught how to properly brush and floss their teeth. It was a blessing to watch the medical team provide them with care that is so hard to come by in this third-world nation.
That was just one part of the vision of the Global Cause Network. Another aspect of our vision is feeding the poor – and we fed hundreds on this trip at our evangelistic outreach in Masachapa. We also distributed clothing and other items these precious people are sorely lacking. Perhaps most importantly, our team was there to show them the love of God. With so many children abandoned, they seem hungrier for love than food. I love giving a young child a warm hug and watching their little faces light up. It’s amazing how they just walk write up to you and hug you tightly, as if they are silently begging you not to leave.
CHURCH PLANTING
One of the most difficult things to me is preaching the Gospel, getting people saved and having no Spirit life church to plug them into. As many of you know, yet another aspect of the GCN vision is planting churches. Specifically, we are setting out to plant 50 churches in Central America in the next 10 years. I am pleased to announce that during this trip we planted our first church, La Paloma Bay Christian Center, in Masachapa. The first service was charged with the power of God as dozens of area locals gathered to experience a different spirit. I want to thank Apostle David Coker for his tireless spirit as he conducted the inauguration of our first church plant.
GETTING CHRIST BACK IN GOVERNMENT
On another note Nicaragua is in a spiritual war over the national elections this November because the Communists are rallying together to seize power. I have been meeting with national leaders and praying for a righteous outcome. One of my spiritual daughters, Judge Genoveva Mora Mejia is on the national ballet for a seat in the Nicaraguan National Congress. She is born again, filled with the Holy Spirit and a fine woman of God. She has a heart for Jesus and deserves all the support we can give her. I have personally prayed for her and presented her to the GCN leadership in Central America. Please keep her in your prayers. If we can’t help our own sons and daughters, who can we help? There’s not much time with only 3 months left. There is still much corruption in Nicaraguan politics. We need influences like hers to enforce lasting change. I have enclosed a letter she wrote herself, which exudes her passion for the Lord and her desire to bring positive change to the Central American government.
ON THE MOVE IN HONDURAS
This week I am taking an apostolic team of over 40 leaders from the GCN churches in Nicaragua to help me establish the GCN in Honduras. Currently we have two CGN churches in Honduras and are sure that we can do more to further establish the Gospel of the Kingdom.
Don’t forget about our annual Apostles & Prophets Summit in November in Hallandale Beach, Florida. I guarantee you won’t want to miss this. God is doing a work in this hour, arranging divine connections, releasing prophetic revelations and imparting strength for the assignments ahead. I encourage you to join us for this special gathering.
Request a FREE DVD that shows the highlights of our most recent trip to Nicaragua, so you can see for yourself what we’ve been up to. I hope you enjoy the presentation.
As always, thank you for your continued prayer and financial support. You are part and parcel of what we are accomplishing in Central America and beyond. The vision is great – and the need is great. But I am convinced that His grace is sufficient and together we can do all that is in our hearts.
Thank you for your partnership.
