The apostolic is a governing anointing, so it doesn't surprise me that the Global Cause Network (GCN) is finding favor with natural government as we advance the Cause of Jesus Christ in Nicaragua. From presidential visits to church plantings, the GCN is making a measurable impact on the nations. Let me catch you up on all the latest happenings.
PRESIDENT VISITS LA PALOMA
As you know, the Atlantic Coast is made up of mostly black English-speaking people struggling to live on average incomes of less than $3 a day. Every time we go there I see opportunities to really do something great for God. I am convinced that God has called us to this remote region.
Rayfield Hodgson, President of Nicaragua's Atlantic Coast Autonomous Region, paid a visit to Embajada La Paloma, GCN's Central American Headquarters, in May. We discussed issues of great importance to God's plan, such as the future of Nicaragua and the upcoming national elections in November.
Hodgson shared his heart with me and we prayed together for God's wisdom and strategies. He encouraged me to continue working to see our vision for Nicaragua come to pass and he encouraged us to build a GCN Cultural Center to help rescue the indigenous culture of the Atlantic Coast Region, to provide apostolic leadership training and to host an Atlantic Coast office.
Hodgson is a leader, so it's not surprising that leadership issues were on his mind. But he wants godly leadership. We are praying about these invitations and God's perfect timing.
GCN NATIONAL APOSTOLIC CONFERENCE
GCN's leadership in Nicaragua is excited about the upcoming conference in Leon July 21-23. We have received permission from the local authorities to block off a street in the heart of the city and hold open-air meetings and workshops tailored to advance the apostolic message. GCN will also be providing free dental and medical care to as many residents as possible.
During my last visit, we discussed the Kingdom Coalition, a strategy to help fund the apostolic prototype churches we are building throughout the nation. I look forward to filling you in on those developments as they occur.
NEW CHURCH PLANT
Speaking of apostolic prototype churches, we are planting our first GCN church in Masachapa, Nicaragua. The site features a ranch-style facility suitable for an open-air church and a two-bedroom house with bathroom and kitchen. As a bonus, the church property has a silver vista of the Pacific Ocean.
Our apostolic teams have been working the surrounding area reaching hundreds of children who have given their hearts to Jesus. We have been disappointed because we had no lively church to place them. With the purchase of this property, however, we have the right place, with our own leaders to minister to their needs.
I want to thank you for your prayers and any thing you could do to help me complete the purchase of this property. Please do whatever you can.
LA PALOMA BAY CHRISTIAN CENTER
In July our GCN team will gather at the new church, La Paloma Bay Christian Center, for its very first service and grand opening celebration. As you know, one of our visions is to plant 50 apostolic churches in the next 10 years. We believe God to establish with this church a medical clinic, school and an orphanage in the Masachapa region. We have asked the mayor to join with us in the opening celebration, along with Apostle David Coker from Gateway Believers Fellowship in Carnesville, Ga., who will preach the first service.
ORDINATION ANNOUNCEMENTS
I am pleased to announce that we have ordained another precious couple, Pastor Freddie and Myra Sanchez, who have a great work in the Occidente region of Nicaragua. They will be a great asset to our growing apostolic team. The apostolic vision in Central America is taking hold.
HONDURAS INVASION
In August we are invading the nation of Honduras. Currently we have two Honduran churches in the network. We will take a team from Nicaragua to help us pioneer this new territory. We are renting an auditorium for this first-ever, apostolic event in that nation. I believe that we can launch an apostolic revolution that will sweep all of Honduras.
Your prayers and monthly support enable me to reach thousands of people with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, help hundreds of children, print vital teaching materials and plant new churches throughout Central America. I know that my God will richly bless you for your help.
Thank you for your partnership.
