There is an interesting principle in the Word of God. I call it the Law of Prophetic Announcements and New Beginnings. The law of beginnings states that everything new in your life starts with a Word from God.
Have you come to that place in your life where you just feel like nothing is happening and there ought to be more? This is the place of boredom, frustration, and danger. If you stay in this place for too long, you can get apathetic, lukewarm, religious, and no fun to be around. When you get to that place, it’s important to listen for a prophetic announcement from the Holy Spirit. It’s in the prophetic announcement new seasons are opened to you.
Within prophetic announcements operate the law of beginnings or said another way the unlocking of new things. This is how a door opens in your life to a new season. A prophetic announcement can come to you from the Holy Spirit through direct prophecy, a person flowing in the spirit of prophecy, elder or church leader, or by revelation of a Bible Scripture. There are other ways, but this covers enough to make the point.
The law of beginnings is found throughout the Word of God. That’s because the law of beginnings is a kingdom of God principle. When you understand the laws of the kingdom of God, you can identify their operations and benefit from them.
Our God is the God of first and last things. He is the alpha and omega, the beginning and the end. Scripture confirms the law of beginnings declaring, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God” (John 1:1). Notice the close connection between beginnings and the Word. The law of beginnings is also found here, “Remember ye, not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert” (Isaiah 43:18-19). I like this promise because you can plainly see God making a prophetic announcement of a new season.
AND GOD SAID
The book of Genesis also teaches about the law of beginnings. I’m sure you already know this verse, “In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth” (Genesis 1:1). The definition of the English word genesis means “a coming into being.” You can see the connection between a beginning and the Word of God. The awesome thing about this is the Lord shows us how he operates in the law of beginnings. He does it through words.
Ten times in Genesis Chapter One God says, “Let there be” and there was. Are you starting to get the picture yet? All this means that the law of beginnings is directly connected to a prophetic announcement. By prophetic, I mean something impossible to know without the Holy Spirit revealing it. This law of beginnings (new things), through the ministry of the Holy Spirit, is how the kingdom of God operates.
This is important for you to learn because all new beginnings in your life will come through the law of beginnings. So it’s vital that you listen carefully for the voice of the Holy Spirit. Remember, the Holy Spirit is the spirit of revelation. His ministry announces new things and reveals new things. This is why the Apostle Paul wrote, “Continue in prayer and watch in the same with thanksgiving; Withal praying also for us, that God would open unto us a door of utterance, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in bonds” (Colossians 4:2-3). Paul strongly identifies God that opens doors of revelation as a result of believing prayer. Jesus said, “It is the spirit that quickeneth (makes alive) the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life” (John 6:63).
SEED KNOWS WHAT TO DO
Now that you have read about the law of beginnings understand that sometime soon the Holy Spirit is going to say something that you will really get a witness to in your born again spirit. When that happens, agree with what he revealed because that prophetic revelation (announcement) releases a seed in your life and that seed knows what to do.
“And he said, So is the kingdom of God, as if a man should cast seed into the ground; And should sleep, and rise night and day, and the seed should spring and grow up, he knoweth not how. For the earth bringeth forth fruit of herself; first the blade, then the ear, after that the full corn in the ear. But when the fruit is brought forth, immediately he putteth in the sickle, because the harvest is come. And he said, Whereunto shall we liken the kingdom of God? or with what comparison shall we compare it? It is like a grain of mustard seed, which, when it is sown in the earth, is less than all the seeds that be in the earth: But when it is sown, it groweth up, and becometh greater than all herbs, and shooteth out great branches; so that the fowls of the air may lodge under the shadow of it. And with many such parables spake he the word unto them, as they were able to hear it.” (Mark 4:26-33)
The Holy Spirit made a prophetic announcement in our church and ministry. He said, “You have seen what you have done, now see what I have done. I have opened a door for you that no man can shut.” Then he went on to tell us what was on the other side of the door. He asked me to tell the people to put their faith on five things. He said to believe for increase, influence, expansion, opportunity, and promotion. If you get an inner witness, then this word is for you too. I spent several services repeating what He said because faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. Afterward, there were many great testimonies with people getting all kinds of breakthroughs. It has been amazing to watch. That’s the power of the law of beginnings. And those same breakthroughs are for you too.
