TEA, CHURCH AND REVOLUTIONS

Gaining ground in a fallen world.

Drinking American coffee on purpose.
Have you ever wondered why Americans drink coffee and the British tea? In 1773 the Boston Tea Party went down in history as a revolt against the unfair taxes, fines and fees of King George. Secret meetings were held throughout churches in the New World seeking the wisdom of God and discussing strategies to throw off the unrestrained thievery of liberty from Britain and its cronies. The colonist believed that something had to be done and there came a time when our Founding Fathers said enough.
It is said that history often repeats itself. Are we getting close to that time again? Did the tax, fine and fee spirit of King George live on?
For years Washington DC has been able to violate the US Constitution and pretty much do whatever they wanted regardless of the outrage, phone calls and emails of the general public. In fact some are beginning to question if voting is only a ruse to make people feel like they are participating in a democratic form of government. They feel that way because their elected representatives simply ignore them after being elected.
Today, moreover, many regular Joe-the-Plumbers are feeling that their government is not really serving their best interest but plundering them as tax serfs to save the very people that got our country in the financial mess it’s in.
Furthermore public confidence in our government’s ability to lead is breaking down around us. As of February 2009 over 4.99 million have lost their jobs with no end in sight. Millions more are losing their homes.
For many Americans, Washington has offered nothing more than hype, vain words, political rhetoric, check writing bailouts and funding of socialists programs and bigger government. Big brother is watching as it continues to install “traffic” cameras on every street corner in America yet the big money fraudsters have yet to be prosecuted for anything.
Think Bernie Madoff, AIG officials, Wall Street executives that misled their shareholders, R. Allen Stanford and many others. Campaign words offering change we can believe in are rapidly loosing their meaning.
It appears that revelation is on the way. Revelation that Main Street is about to take a licking and confidence – freedom from doubt – has left the building. Are we seeing the fanning of revolutionary umbers in this country? Is this recession about to turn into a depression? Are we seeing a further great divide between the haves and the have-nots? How does the Church of Christ fit in this picture? What about you?

Before we go any further in this article and because most my readers are Christians I want to point out some fundamental problems that keep the Church from being effective in the marketplace of ideas, code for making this world a better place. Of course the most obvious is the backslidden, apathetic and lukewarm condition of the Church. With others it’s a lack of conviction, zeal and passion. And most disturbing is the lack of passionate leadership and sin within the Church. Do we have some good leadership? Yes. Could we use more? Absolutely.
For years secular humanism has ridiculed, scorned and pushed out the God of America often portraying anyone that held to biblical principles as old-fashioned, disconnected and intolerant. Right now I’m feeling pretty good about that. I think an old-fashioned gospel would seem fitting today as well as a Church disconnected and intolerant against sin. The facts, however, reveal that the Church has become neutralized as a voice and the devil rules without much opposition. When was the last time you heard a national Christian leader address the issues facing our nation for example?
Again, the Church has become negated in the battle for ideas and leadership within our nation. Not because the message of Christ has no meaning but because of the lack of revolutionary voices within the body of Christ. We can’t blame the devil for everything. The devil has his own ministry and we can expect him to be faithful to it. What we need today is a wakeup call to the mighty men. That’s right, the mighty men.
It’s time to get back in the race and stand up not only for the sake of your own family but for the sake of our nation.
This is where I usually lose people. Over the years I have found there is a certain group of people that can’t cross the line. The line is moving from spectator to participant. There are many that want to ignore what’s happening around them and forget that faith is proactive and used to overcome the world.
It’s not the apathetic that I want to converse with anyway. Apathetic people are indifferent and never do anything great with their lives. I want to talk to those Americans that don’t want to turn tail and run, to those that carry the same spirit of our Founding Fathers and those like Joshua and Caleb that tasted those Promise Land fruits with delight.
You’re not like everybody else, you’re different on purpose. Here are some things we can do to gain ground in a fallen world and make a difference in our nation. I’m sure you can modify the list, make it better and even add to it.
- Get this straight. Politicians are not the pastors of the Church of Christ. To look to a political leader as pastor is idolatry.
- Our source of wealth and wisdom is not found in Washington DC government but with our God and His Word.
- The five-fold ministry gifts of apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers are called to equip believers to make a difference with their lives. Leaders must stop doing all the work of the ministry and train others. If you can’t lead get out of the way.
- The Church is more than a hospital and shelter from the world. It is the seat of governing authority and place to equip and empower believers.
- Mom and dad, stop depending on a secular government warehouse school system to raise and educate your children.
- The Gospel is more than preaching about the cross. Yes the cross is cardinal but Christ also preached the gospel of the Kingdom. Find out what that means.
- God needs men. Thank God for the faithfulness of women but men must get in their place of spiritual and natural leadership within the family, church and society.
- Christians are part of a priesthood of kings. Jesus is King of kings and Ruler of rulers. It’s time for kingship and rulership within the body of Christ.
- Savings, thrift and living within ones means are fundamental. The Church and every believer should get out of debt! Say no to credit card debts and fiscal irresponsibility.
- Stop trying to escape the spiritual warfare that rages against our nation. An escapist mindset must be broken. Jesus is coming back for a glorious Church, not a defeated broken down Church.
- Avoid compromising with the world’s vain philosophies of men. Submit yourselves to God and resist seducing spirits and doctrines of devils.
- Christians should stop withdrawing themselves from the world. How can anyone be salt, light and a city set on a hill by withdrawing?
- Turn the television and video games off and make a commitment to
- The Church should get back to prayer. Prayer, however, should be more than giving God a list of things to do or just soaking on the floor.
- Spiritual stability and a sound mind should be goal not spiritual flakiness and weirdness within the body of Christ. Flakes should not be allowed to represent our Christ.
- New Age mysticism, angel worship, talking to the dead, merchandising the gospel, barking like dogs, ecstasy meetings, sin and strange fire in the house of God should not be tolerated.
- Jezebel’s prophets should be kicked out of Christ’s Church. When? In the next service.
- Unrepentant homosexuality and lesbianism should disqualify one from ministry. Period. No matter the result of any denominational vote. A majority vote does not void the Word of God.
- Unscriptural divorces like two parties that no longer want to stay married should disqualify them from hosting national Christian television programs.
- Say no to both drink and drugs. Both are mind altering.
- Stop sending donations to celebrity ministries only to support lavish lifestyles. It’s time to rid ourselves from thieving merchandisers and charlatans regardless of their fund raising abilities and national celebrity.
- Stop blindly supporting political parties. There is political corruption within both the Democratic and Republican parties. We must start holding everyone in national leadership accountable!
- The rule of law needs to be enforced particularly among our Washington politicians, bankers and Wall Street.
- Get involved in local leadership in your city at every level. From politics, business and schooling. Nothing should be off limits for Christ to use His people of influence.
- Take hold of your Christian walk. Check your character and relationships. Are you walking the walk or just talking the talk?
That was a long list and surely there is something on it that some won’t agree. But you know what? We have to start somewhere. Somehow we have to get back to God. Repentance would be the best start followed by a proactive faith.
Throughout biblical history our God has looked for those that carry a different spirit. He found Moses, Joshua, Deborah and others. Like them there are others. They are His revolutionaries. A revolutionary is a person that doesn’t want the reprobate ruling over them. A revolutionary is a leader that carries a burning passion to turn back toward God. Is that you? I suspect if you read this far that it is.
For those of you that think there must be more I salute you and hope to meet up with you soon. This year I have been invited to preach in different parts of the country. I’ll let you know where the meetings will be. Hopefully we can join our faith.
Bring your tea bags.

Thank you for a very encouraging message.I’ve been struggling with complacency and mediocrity in our church. My two teenage boys need me and my husband to keep praying for our staff to have a heart on fire for our God!

Fabulous! Fabulous! Fabulous, Pastor Jonas. And, might I add, it’s about time that our pastors are speaking out against the tolerance for sin that is has become a way of life in America. I know, you leaders believe it’s us sheep. Well, I for one, am a sheep who’s been kicking and screaming, pleading with our leaders to stand up and speak out! Thanks for standing up and speaking out! Thanks for not being afraid! Thanks for owning up and telling it like it us! God bless you, sir, and believe me, I’m the one who writes you when I think you’re off base. I’m much happier telling you to go for it!
Man of God…
Thank Jesus for your life and ministry.I was screaming my lungs out for kicking out of Christ Church Jezebel prophets. The most amazing thing part was not declaring that, BUT HAVING THE BOLDNESS AND KNOWLEDGE OF SENTENCING THEM (AS A RIGHTEOUS JUDGE) ON NEXT SERVICE! GLORY HALLELUJAH!!! PRAISE GOD!
This is what I pick up from the article to share with my church because we only pray by apostolic confessions and make the decrees and repeat them over.
_I will not lack conviction, zeal & passion for Christ
_I hate the backslidden and lukewarmness of the Church
_The devil will not rule W/out opposition around me.
_The church voice will not be neutralized while I live
_Oh Lord, make me a revolutionary voice within the body of christ.
_I will cease to blame the devil for everything: the adversary has his own ministry, and just as we expect him to be faithful to it, i choose to be faithful to Christ at all times.
_Oh Lord, wake up mighty men of valor in the Church.
_I will not stand up for the sake of my family alone, but the nations as well.
_I will not turn tail and run, but I WILL carry the same spirit as Joshua and Caleb.
_As a Christian, i pledge to stop withdrawing myself from the world around me but get involved God’s way
_I am the salt light and a city set on a hill, therefore I refuse to withdraw.
_i will get back to prayer. i will no longer give the Father a list of things to do or soak on the floor.
_Next service, jezebel’s prophets WILL be kicked out of every church, by faith, in Jesus name.
Man of God, please check out our website”MFMvirginia.org”
We don’t preach, but we declare each word of God until we get a release from the Holy Spirit, that that truth or prayer point is embedded in us by faith.
God bless and i will order some of your materials soon

Hallelujah !
Two weeks ago at our church prayer night, I
got the word “Revolution”.
You’re article on revolution sure was a blessing,
bringing more clarity and encouragement to hearing
the voice of the Lord.
I know that Father is calling His people and it’s
time for the “Josiah’s” to rise up.
This article has helped to flame the fire.
Thank you for speaking out.
God Bless.

When I read your messages, it reminds me so much of the word and mine of my Bishop Clyd J. Jones. You are both mighty men of GOD, so much on point and even ahead of the time, even though time is of the essence. Thank GOD he is in control of the timing!Bless you, and the work you are doing to advance HIS kingdom!! Matthew 28: 18-20.

As usuall your message inspires and leads me for breakthrough.
In Him yours
Precious Brother,
I thank God for you! I’ve only known of you for a short time, a fellow brother told me to order your book “extreme prophetic studies” I have ordered and began to study it and it has changed my life already. I’m going to order other material as well. I really need a leader such as yourself to help me to “un-stick” myself and get to work. I greatly enjoy your articles because you talk about and expound on EVERYTHING that God has been saying to me since he called me to serve as a Prophet in the last days in the order of the Prophets of old, particularly Elijah and Amos. Thank you so much and I’m looking forward to attending your meetings. I’ll be praying for you and yours always. HALLELUJAH!!!

Pastor Jonas,
I praise God that He has raised up a voice in the wilderness. A true man of God that is not afraid to call it the way it is. I buy your books and read your articles which inspire and encourage me. Please continue to be honest in the Love of Christ. Jesus was filled with compassion, but when He saw a brood of vipers He identified them so there would be no doubt who they were. Jesus loved everyone but He did not tolerate sin. I refuse to compromise the Word of God. It has been watered down long enough. It’s time someone actually read it and teach the truth. Keep up the good work.
Your Brother in Christ
Greetings Brother Bill,
Thanks for your encouragement. I started writing the Revolutionary Review online in November 1997. Back then it was called the Ambassador Journal. Since then we have hooked up with many wonderful friends around the world. We are still, however, only reaching a remnant people that want to help make this world a better place. My prayer is that the mighty men will awaken. Glad you’re one of them. Thanks again, Jonas

You know, history does repeat itself. And when we look at the histories of cultures, nations and tribes years before us, even if we look at the spiritual climate 100 years ago, we can see a pattern evolving.
(note: between 100 to 300 years ago, sermons and preachings where read from a text; sometimes even in Latin. There was no thing as freely preaching behind the pulpit.)
You can see a trend that we’ve been going from abiding by the law (too much law -1950′s) , to a lawlessness generation (‘revolution’ from 1969).
Today we are reaping the consequences of lawlessness and idolatrous generation, perhaps what USA knew before Colombus entered shore.
We have seen what ‘freedom’ can do to those; who’s hearts and intentions are evil. And to the world who have no knowledge of the Kingdom of God, they see that something must be done;and the only thing that they see possible is ‘control’.
I’m glad we serve a different God!
So automatically our generation is starting to lean towards communism, where the actions of the evil person, and in the end the action of every person will be monitored and controlled; with the thought in mind that every person “is evil”, or “has evil motives”; therefor every person will be watched by a ‘neighbor’, or ‘system’ (like camera’s) who also has someone else watching over him/it.
Once we pass the communistic phase, the next generation might stretch out in a move like the ‘hippie movement’ of the 1960′s; or more freedom ..
It’s kind of the same direction the church has gone through with “what is more important: Feelings & Praise & Worship in the services; or the word, and stability?”
One will show a total different face of God than the other, and they almost seem incompatible with one another. The answer is either way can lead away from God, just as much as either way can bring a man closer to God. A good balance might seem the most healthy solution, but even in a balance;if God is taken away even this does not stand!
Is the man of the law (strict in his ways, denying any pleasure) any better than the man of freedom ? (who also fails in his freedom to keep himself pure,or do what is right)?
The fact is we need both! We need as much to be controlled as we need to be free! But neither bound to control, nor freedom, can bring one closer to his destiny, closer to God.
In essence God’s kingdom is what we seek on earth, not a system of man (be it free or controlled).
In the latter days, the days will be “shortened” for the chosen ones’ sake, as the bible says it, but it applies to anyone. Time does shorten these days; and it almost seems like I bought a computer yesterday that is worthless today!
Knowledge is going to increase, and almost anything in our power to do will be done. ‘Almost’!
I mentioned ‘almost’, because I believe the bible says Jesus will come as a thief in the night; and men will be marrying and living their lives, when suddenly Jesus will re-appear again!
Meaning, life will still move forward, new developments will still be made or being in process of being made!
And along the way, men will take pride in their work, saying that nothing will be impossible to them! Exalting themselves above God, just like in the days of old, and that’s when God comes back.
So it’s biblical, that in the end days we should know that we’ll see cities like sodom and Gomorrah.
Though I am not fond of living there, I do believe it’s a biblical scenario for the end days.
A true separation, like the separation between rich and poor will be there, only one that’s between good and evil. And millions of souls stuck in between that.
It’s good to start living more soberly, spending less, and sanctifying yourself, but every extra effort you DO, to get God closer in your life will wear you out in due time, if you do it in your own strength.
There’s only one who can carry the weight of life and that is God!
I would suggest it comes all down to building a relationship for real, with God. To talk to him in your silent and lonely times.
To create a diary, and write down the things God tells you, so that when they come to pass God will be glorified!
And to let God handle certain area’s in your life, which would only tax you if you would try to do them out of your own strength!
Definitely, the first love HAS to come back! Otherwise carrying His cross and following Him will kill you! But Love bears all things!
So in the end, I think it’s not as much as what we do, but getting things right with God, learning to listen to His voice, let Him deal with our issues, so that you will not from outward (the law) do things, but from within (the heart).
Perhaps even this has a value to some who read and heed it!
Heed good advice, and store it in your heart! And pray to God that He will make it yours, never to be taken from you again!
