Cultural Marxism is the term used to describe the attack against Christian culture in America. They have done a good job of tearing down what has made America great. Dr. Ted Baehr and Pat Boone wrote about it in “The Culture-wise Family: Upholding Christian Values in a Mass Media World:” They wrote that the Marxist had to destroy Christian culture before a communist revolution could be victorious. They had leadership, a plan, and a strategy you need to know about.

President Obama sent a clear message to our nation’s children by validating homosexuality and same sex marriage. America’s president made it plain he supports “gay marriage.” This is a reflection on the continued slide into immorality within our nation’s leadership. President Obama needs prayer. His view is just plain wrong and reflects his deepest core values. What a person values is reflected in his or her character. Values define beliefs, kingdoms, cultures, people groups, and purpose. Personal values gather people and personal values divide people. To some Christ is a stumbling stone. To others he is the light of the world. Values light our path, set our course and influence our lives. Few want a leader that opposes Christian values and embraces Sodom’s values.

We are in a spiritual war for dominion. As Christians we know through the resurrection of Christ He spoiled principalities and powers. Principalities and powers are demonic governing forces waging war against Christ, His dominion, and His kingdom advancement. We also know the conclusion of the warfare, “The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord and of his Christ and he shall reign for ever and ever” (Revelation 11:15). The spiritual warfare is not over. There are many souls to be won, Disciples of Christ to be made, and many kingdoms yet to be conquered. The spiritual warfare that we are involved manifests in the natural through various world views, belief systems and shared values such as secular humanism, religious humanism, Marxism, Socialism, Materialism, Consumerism, materialism, and New Age spiritualism just to name a few. All of these “isms” find their design outside the Word of God and wage war for the souls of mankind.

“For you shall be as gods knowing (or determining for yourself) good and evil.” Because man wants to be a god, determining good and evil for themselves, lawlessness in society increases as the god-man rebels against the “rule of law”. The state, moreover, clashes with all others because it considers itself as ruler over man. These eventually clash with each other in a constant warfare for dominion. The quest for power by the self-determined god-man and the self-determined god-state lead to a secular humanistic society depraved of moral absolutes that over time destroys itself. This has been the pattern for thousands of years as nations rise and fall and shift in power.

When a nation, any nation turns its back on God freedom is painfully lost. Enslavement is easy when Christians do not understand liberty. To stay free requires resistance. Spiritual resistance belongs to the Spirit led son and daughter that understands how to use the sword of the Spirit against the wiles of the enemy. Christ said, “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, To preach the acceptable year of the Lord” (Luke 4:18-19).

There are forces in this world that want a one world government, a one world economic system, and a one world religion. The Church must provide answers to socialism and the biblical limitations of the State. Left unchecked socialism leads to a breakdown in society and national serfdom. The answer to socialism is grasping your personal liberty provided by the King of kings and the Lord of lords. When a nation of peoples’ resolve to put first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness they are at once freed from the wickedness of serfdom.

There are many kinds of war. There are civil, religious, class and the highest of all, spiritual. As we take a moment to pull back the curtain we understand the true warfare is the battle against God fueled by the hatred of Satan. Scripture reveals his wicked heart.
