Apostolic leaders don’t build their ministries around the Sunday morning hour of power. They know there is more. Christ gave some apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers for the perfecting of the saints for the work of ministry (Ephesians 4:12). This Scripture goes to the very core of Christian leadership and the directive of equipping others for the work of ministry. The work of ministry is not preaching in the often over glamorized hour of power on Sunday morning. That’s preaching. That can be an untruthful image of church that comes from watching too much Christian television. Some of what you see is not real and is just another made for TV program. We need to be clear, some of the ministry, not all, is inside the local church but most of the ministry is outside the local church in the harvest fields of life.

International evangelism is not like holding typical Sunday morning church services but is really like a Holy Ghost spiritual invasion with lots of spiritual warfare involved. In my experience there are no salvations, miracles or healings without a spiritual fight. The man or woman of God needs to be ready for anything. You don’t get ready on the field, you arrive ready.

Man cannot save himself. We live in a world taught that they don’t need the God of the bible. Secular humanists have educated them to believe they are their own gods and capable of finding their own way through life.

The sad conclusion of this doctrine is complete moral collapse, unmitigated corruption and lack of identity, direction and purpose. The only salvation for humanity is Christ. Jesus said, “Come to me all ye that labor and are heavy laden and I will give you rest. Take my yoke on you and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart and you will find rest to your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light” (Matthew 11:28-30).

There is no such thing as a New Testament apostolic church without the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Have you noticed how many churches don't covet the baptism of the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in other tongues? All the New Testament churches found in the bible were pioneered by Holy Ghost filled apostles.

The apostle Paul showed us a clear pattern for his founding of New Testament apostolic churches. When he traveled to Ephesus he met certain disciples that had not received the baptism of the Holy Spirit. "And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied" (Acts 19:6). Paul knew the importance, even Christ’s mandate of the baptism of the Holy Spirit (Acts 1:8).

New Testament apostolic believers are ardent reformers and early supporters of a cause. They carry a revolutionary spirit. Uzziah is a good example of an apostolic reformer, builder and restorer. He was only sixteen years old when he became king. He built Eloth and restored it to Judah, a significant pattern for apostolic ministry (2 Chronicles 26:1-2).

As the apostolic ministry revolution continues to progress we will see a change from a pastoral-only model of ministry toward an apostolic model of ministry.

The current structure or model of church ministry revolves around the pastoral paradigm (model) of ministry. A paradigm is a structure of ministry that serves as a model or pattern. It's astonishing but the word pastor, Greek poimen is only mentioned once in the entire New Testament. From one occurrence in scripture we have built thousands of pastoral churches. Yet there were no churches ever built in the New Testament by pastors. Even the one started at Antioch soon received Barnabas as an apostolic leader. Barnabas was a sent-one (apostolic gift) from the church in Jerusalem.

Jesus wants to activate the apostolic in you because it releases dynamics and benefits that will enrich your life. He's given you a team of teachers to accomplish His goal. We call those teachers five-fold ascension gifts.
