EUROPE ATTACKED BY DEMON POWERS - A PROPHETIC VISION

It's coming! It's coming! It's
coming too soon and my churches are not ready.
Go and strengthen my churches.
This is what I heard thundered in my spirit as we were
flying into Amsterdam from Miami. It’s coming! It’s
coming! It’s coming too soon and my churches are not
ready. Go and strengthen my churches.
This disturbed me in my spirit as I pondered on those
words from heaven. Then as the words were echoing in my
ears I saw the image of a hand coming out of the old
Babylonian empire (Syria, Iran and Iraq). Its wrest was
hovering over the British Isles and fingers extending
into northern Europe, the Scandinavia countries, and
throughout Western Russia.
What did the prophetic vision mean?
Then the Spirit of God gave me the vision’s
interpretation. He revealed to me the five fingers were
five spirits that would unite forming a fist and attack
His Church. The five spirits were apathy, divorce,
control, radical Islam and criticism. Let’s review each one.
1.) APATHY
The first finger was apathy. Apathy means to be
indifferent and without emotion. It is lukewarmness that
robs revival from any nation. Apathy is pure spiritual
laziness that will not rise and pursue the things of
God. Apathy clings to vain religious form that denies
the power of God. Apathy is a spiritual attack that
disarms the Church of spiritual strength. The spirit of
apathy cloaks itself with tolerance. All of Europe today
has been lulled into spiritual sleep and has become
tolerant of all sorts of things that offend God.
2.) DIVORCE
The second finger was divorce. One of the strengths of
any society is the family. A family comprises one father
and one mother with children. Ordained by God, the
family lends to the stability of any nation. An increase
in the divorce rates is a prophetic sign of broken
covenants and an attack on the government of God.
Attacks against the family are a reflection of what is
taking place in the spirit realm. Spiritual attacks
against the family will continue to increase.
3.) CONTROL
The third finger was the controlling spirit of
witchcraft. Control comes in all flavors, from Jezebel's
prophetic witchcraft and deception, to religious
legalism and merchandising the anointing. There are
legalistic church leaders, for example, that will not
allow the Spirit of God to move in His own church. This
is the spirit of control. I am not talking about a
proper flow in church services, but a fear of not being
in control. This type of control is nothing more than
the powers of witchcraft.
4.) RADICAL ISLAM
The fourth finger was Islam. This will be the greatest
opposition to the church in the years ahead. In 1997,
the time of this vision, I was
watching television news while in Nigeria and
heard Pope John Paul II asking Christians to “unite with Muslims
for humanity sake.” Good works are fine provided they
are done out of a right spirit but let’s not compromise
our faith in Christ by uniting with anti-Christ spirits.
Christ loves Muslims but Allah is not Jehovah. There is
still only one way to be born-again. That is through the
atoning blood of Jesus Christ the Lamb of God (John
3:16, Romans 10:8-11). Under the cloak of good works the
Islamic spirit will go into the poverty stricken areas
of our nations to feed and clothe the impoverished among
us. In the process they will try to capture a nation’s
children.
The Church of Jesus Christ must take her
divine place in society and do the works that Jesus
commanded her to do. This will prevent false religions
from usurping the ministry of the true Church of God. God
didn’t call us to become the best motivational preachers
of feel good or the greatest T. V. prophets in the
nation. Jesus is building strong local churches that do
more than produce earthshaking praise and shattering
preaching. He wants all of His disciples to be trained
and used into ministry – and most real ministry work
takes place outside the local church building. After
all, how many people do we need to vacuum the floor,
teach Sunday School, usher, sing, dance, wave flags,
look after the children, and so on?

5.) CRITICISM
The fifth finger was criticism. There is a saying, “All
Europe talks.” It means that all Europe gossips. After
traveling in Europe these last four years I have noticed
an ever-increasing voice of criticism among the
leadership. This needs to stop. Who cares what everyone
else is doing and saying? What matters is what “saith
the Spirit of God” to you.
Now what?
Now that we have heard this vision, now what? Are you
going to preserve the status quo? The purpose of this
article is not to interpret or read into what God showed
me but rather provoke you to pray.
Here are just a few suggestions we can do.
PRAY
The first is pray. Prayer is the most important thing
the Church can do right now (2 Chronicles 7:14). Prayer,
real prayer. Not lying on the floor listening to
Christian music, but fervent, interceding, militant,
targeted, prayer. We need to pray like they did in the
book of Acts. “And now, Lord, behold their threatenings
and grant to thy servants that with all boldness we may
speak thy word by stretching forth thine hand to heal
and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of
thy holy child Jesus. And when they had prayed, the
place was shaken where they were assembled together and
they were all filled with the Holy Ghost and they spake
the word of God with boldness” (Acts 4:29-31).
SPIRITUAL WARFARE
The next is spiritual warfare. I know there has been
opposition to spiritual warfare but it doesn’t take away
that we do wrestle against principalities and powers.
The war is not over (Ephesians 6:12). We don’t have time
to work out all the theological questions about
spiritual warfare. Let’s just do it. Spiritual warfare
is nothing more than exercising your spiritual authority
by binding and loosing in intercessory prayer. “It is
now God’s intent that now to the principalities and
powers in heavenly places might be known by the church
the manifold wisdom of God, according to the eternal
purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord”
(Ephesians 3:9-10).
DEDICATION & COMMITMENT
Next dedication and commitment. The leadership of
Christ’ Church must not be afraid to command dedication
and commitment to the cause of Christ. Granted there
will be opposition, but spiritual strength and capacity
comes out of opposition. The world fights for and
finances what it believes in, what about us?
EVANGELISM
Finally we should increase our evangelism efforts. It’s
time to take the Gospel of the Kingdom to the poor. How
many pastors and leaders avoid their city’s “bad areas”
because of fear? Let’s take the good news into the war
zones of the earth.
CONCLUSION
Please pray that God continues to enable us to take this
prophetic word into the European nations and that He
will increase our platform. Pray also for the pastors
that are willing to pay the price and are laying down
their lives for the cause of Christ.
Please meditate on the words, “It’s coming! It’s coming!
It’s coming too soon and my churches are not ready. Go and strengthen my churches.” Ask the Holy
Spirit to reveal more about this to you.
“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the
power of his might” (Ephesians 6:10).
